Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Flight Nurse Lorry Sheasgreen, BSCN, RN, CCRN, CFRN, received her nursing degree from Ryerson University in Toronto. She spent several years living and working across the U.S., from New England to New Mexico, before coming to work for LifeFlight in 2015.
Lorry comes from a long line of nurses and says she never really considered a different career path.
“My mother always told me growing up that nursing was the best profession. After 25 years, I couldn’t agree more,” explains Lorry. “Caring for people is never boring and very rewarding. Nursing has allowed me to live around the country and pursue recreational interests. It has also given me the opportunity to work in many areas of nursing, but critical care has always been my passion.”
At LifeFlight, Lorry serves on the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) committee where she helps develop metrics and reports for the organization’s quality assurance program. Outside of work, Lorry spends as much time as she can in the great outdoors, running, biking, rock climbing, sailing, windsurfing, skiing and gardening. If she’s stuck inside, she enjoys baking and knitting.
