School Kids in Maine Compete for Visit from New Lifeflight Helicopter

To celebrate the much-needed addition of a third helicopter to its fleet, LifeFlight invited school kids in Maine to enter a competition to win a visit from the new aircraft, “Whiskey Mike” as she’s known in the aviation community, after her tail number N901WM. The Facebook-based competition asked kids to draw a picture of the new heliocpter and explain why LifeFlight it’s an important service. Then post it on Facebook and see how many “likes” and “shares” you can collect.

The winner is the post with the most likes and shares. Be sure that all of the likes and shares happen on the original post! And don’t forget to include the hashtag – #mainesnewhelicopter

The winning school will get a visit from Whiskey Mike! That’s right, the new LifeFlight helicopter will land at your school where students will get an up-close-and-personal view of the aircraft and flight crew will be available to answer questions.

Check out the great entries we received!
