The LifeFlight crew saw something unusual when they landed on the rooftop helipad at Maine Medical Center in Portland — a handwritten sign from the patients at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. After they finished caring for their patient, the crew on the Lewiston-based helicopter went to investigate and had a great time visiting with the kids and answering questions about the aircraft. On that day, the crew was flying LifeFlight’s back up helicopter, N710SB.
