I was out running errands with my dog, Emma and was hit head-on by a sleeping driver. I don’t remember anything after my last errand and woke up three weeks later at Maine Med’s SCU unit. I lost my Emma in the accident and was injured badly and still am recovering and having surgeries from my injuries sustained in that life-changing accident. I owe my life to the Alfred/Waterboro fire department, the York Country Sheriffs dept. Lifeflight of Maine, and the staff at MMCs level one trauma Center. My family and I don’t have the words to express how grateful we are for you all! Truly a gift from God! We love you all!
